This project showcases how color can be used to make a bold design statement. You’ll pay more for colored concrete, but as with any lasting investment for your home, it makes sense to spend the extra money to get the product that will make you over the moon happy.
An ashlar slate stamped concrete pattern with a roman slate textured concrete border was used for this Poulsbo project.
In the photo below are roman slate textured stairs and a colored concrete retaining wall, with a one-inch chamfer strip in the upper part of the wall to provide a capstone-like appearance.
The integral concrete color for the patio and walls is western gold. Sandstone post coloring was applied to the borders for contrast and definition.
